Tunisia: the Kairouan rose is trying to export internationally [3/3]

It will be the largest industrial complex of its kind in Africa. In Kairouan, in central Tunisia, the Sebri group is preparing to open a vast distillation unit for Kairouan roses. This variety of flower, renowned for the delicacy and intensity of its fragrance, seduces the greatest perfumers. The objective of this distillation unit will therefore be to contribute to the national economy, by developing exports to major international perfume houses. It will have, among other things, 16 distillers with a total distillation capacity of 5,000 litres. Eight are already installed, almost ready to use. The commissioning of this industrial unit is scheduled for 2024.
