36% of companies state that they plan to develop specific plans for the senior group, made up of people over 55 years of age, in the next five years.

This is clear from the report ‘Senior Economy Business Monitor 2023’ prepared by the Fundación Mapfre’s Ageingnomics Research Center and consulted by Servimedia.

Among the measures for seniors, the launch of specific products and services for this segment of the population, campaigns focused on it, businesses based on technology and digital support, retention of senior talent in the company’s activity and relocation stand out. of posts.

Of all the companies surveyed in this study, the importance given to this public differs depending on business strategies. In products and services, less than half (44%) of the companies consulted indicate that they dedicate their efforts to the so-called silent generation (1930-1948), compared to 75% that do target the ‘baby boomers’ (1949-1968). ).

The percentages drop with regard to communication policies towards different audiences, with 19% of companies directing these actions towards the first group and 53% of companies towards the second.

The consideration of seniors within the growth expectations of companies is also noteworthy, since only 6% of the entities surveyed link these forecasts with the possibility of targeting those born between 1930-1948, and only 28% with those from the period between 1949 and 1968. On the other hand, 75% of them see growth expectations in ‘Generation Y’, which includes those born between 1981 and 1993, this group being the one that offers the most projection to the companies surveyed.
