Bildu, on a possible investiture of Sánchez: “You have to address the issues step by step”
The coordinator of EH Bildu, Arnaldo Otegi, has assured that in order to support the investiture of the PSOE candidate, Pedro Sánchez, as president of the Spanish Government, this coalition will not practice “mercantilism”. He added that, however, the “lefts of the State”, in reference to both the PSOE and Sumar, “must understand the political logic of the multinational lefts and facilitate opening debates with serenity and prudence”, as he remarked in an interview on Radio Euskadi.
“We are not proposing abrupt or intense dynamics, we must address issues step by step,” he reiterated. In relation to the debate on the territorial model, he added that “it must be opened because it is a structural problem, not because a candidate needs votes.” He has specified that EH Bildu wants to “stop the reactionary bloc of the PP-Vox” and that it be governed from the left, which takes shape, as he has said, in a prison policy for which they do not ask for “strange things, only that they do not apply exceptional measures”.
