After his outburst in the Knesset plenum over members of the opposition, culminating in the statement to Orit Struck, “Fly away from my eyes,” Prime Minister Naftali Bennett explained why he spoke in this way toward the MK from Religious Zionism.

Yedioth Ahronoth commentator Sima Kadmon wrote in her weekly column: “After the violent, wild and bullying scene that took place in the plenum yesterday, the things Bennett said to MK Orit Struck were often quoted. “Fly out of my sight,” he said.

Kadmon chose to criticize Struck and wrote: “Struck, it must be said, enjoyed every moment and made the event another proof that the former CEO of the Yesha Council crossed the lines. But the reality is much simpler in this case as well.”

At this point an ancestor noted the reason why Bennett spoke to Stroke as follows: “Immediately after that incident Bennett said to the man who said, ‘The woman approached me without a mask and sprayed me with an omicron from a distance of ten centimeters. So I told her to fly away from me. I was isolated enough last week.’

It is worth noting that Bennett’s explanation raises quite a few questions, since he was the one who shouted at members of the opposition without a mask, while Struck herself did wear a mask over her face.
