Berlin The federal government is planning a number of steps to eliminate excessive bureaucracy. In a new bureaucracy relief law, a total of 28 measures are to be taken. This emerges from the cornerstones of the law, which are available to the Handelsblatt. The federal government wants to decide on the key points on Wednesday at its cabinet meeting in Meseberg.
The traffic light coalition has made reducing bureaucracy a central point of its agenda. She sees the fight against excessive reporting obligations and lengthy approval procedures as a decisive step towards making Germany viable as a business location. So far, the measures have not gone far enough for business representatives.
Federal Economics Minister Robert Habeck (Greens) has had practice checks drawn up in his office for a few months in order to identify concrete needs for rule changes, and has set up a special team for reducing bureaucracy. Minister of Justice Marco Buschmann (FDP) recently collected 442 suggestions from the economy in an association survey.
