Please join us in praying for and supporting the people of Tonga affected by the Hunga-Tonga-Hunga-Ha’apai volcano eruption and subsequent tsunami. Many communities are covered in dust and ash, others have been inundated by floodwaters. Communications are down due to a severed undersea cable and planes are unable to land due to the amount of ash in the air and on the airport runway. Most Tongans grow about 80% of their own food in neighboring gardens and collect drinking water from the roofs of their homes. With the massive amounts of ash covering the islands and creating acid rain, both fresh food and clean drinking water are badly needed.
