Amid rumors about the possibility of Lance Stroll leaving Aston Martin and leaving Formula 1, Le Mans champion Richard Bradley believes that in 2025 Yuki Tsunoda could replace the Canadian driver.

“I think he will be a very strong candidate for the Aston Martin seat,” said Bradley on ‘On Track GP’, aware that his contract ends this season.

Asked if he would perform better than Stroll, the 2015 Le Mans LMP2 winner is resounding: “Yes, because remember, Honda will supply Aston Martin’s engines and he is obviously an HRC driver, so that makes logical sense.”

Aston Martin’s agreement with Honda for 2026 suggests that the Japanese driver can wear the green colors for that same year, but Bradley analyzes another alternative to consider.

“I think that will happen maybe if it’s not next year, but 100 percent next year…and we’ve already heard the rumors that there are discussions going on,” he explains.

It will be necessary to be attentive to the movements in the teams, and above all, to Lance Stroll’s decision to continue competing in ‘the Great Circus’.
