Former French international Ludovic Vaty (34) was plunged into a coma after a heart attack which occurred on Tuesday during training with his club Toulouse Olympique Aérospatiale Club (TOAC) which plays in N2 (4th division), according to information from the team. The Guadeloupe pivot (9 caps) was in the running to compete in Euro 2013 when he had just had his best season under the colors of Gravelines. But a cardiac pathology was detected to him.
It was a dilated cardiomyopathy, the detachment of a membrane of the heart which can lead to a risk of sudden death in the event of intense effort. This event marked the end of his professional career. “I took at least a year to recover.
