CES 2022: Razer presents Project Sophia and Enki Pro Hypersense, two concepts for the station of the future

Over the past few years Razer has accustomed the public of the CES in Las Vegas to expect very particular and futuristic concepts, in some cases evolved into real products – such as the mask presented last year as Project Hazel, marketed today as Razer Zephyr – in others remained simple exercises – such as Project Christine, the modular desktop presented in 2014 -. For 2022, the American manufacturer of gaming products presented two prototypes dedicated to the gaming station: Project Sophia, a modular futurist desk, ed Enki Pro Hypersense, a gaming chair with integrated haptic motor developed in collaboration with D-Box.

Defining Project Sophia as a desk is certainly an understatement, the Razer concept is indeed a modular system which revolves around a central unit equipped with the latest generation Intel and NVIDIA integrated CPU and GPU which, like the other installable modules, connects magnetically on the glass top of the desk.

The modules designed by Razer should allow the futuristic desk of adapt from time to time to the needs of the user: modules designed strictly for gamers, such as those dedicated to enhancing the graphics and sound performance of the system, can be replaced with modules designed for creative applications, such as digitalizzatori touchscreen, set of macros, tablets, or even modules dedicated to streaming. For more traditional work sessions, modules with shortcut keys have been provided to allow you to optimize multitasking, finally some modules will offer “conveniences” such as wireless fast charging and cup warmer.

Project Sophia, if it arrives at production, according to the user’s choices it can be equipped with display OLED da 65 77 o 77 ″, and being a Razer product there will be no lack of details illuminated by LEDs managed by the platform Chroma RGB.

Enki Pro HypersenseCertainly closer to the actual product stage is the Razer Enki Pro Hypersense, an advanced gaming chair based on the Enki Pro – a Razer model already on the market – which promises an advanced gaming experience thanks to a high fidelity haptic feedback.

To do this, Razer has integrated a haptic unit developed by D-Box which will allow the Enki Pro Hypersense to make the player perceive vibrations, textures and movements, being able to take advantage of 65,000 haptic variations capable of simulate an acceleration or deceleration force of 1G, as well as being able to tilt the chair on the vertical axis and backwards, in response to the situations at stake.

The system on board the Razer concept is already supported in over 2200 games, which include the most recent Forza Horizon 5, Assassin’s Creed Valhalla and F1 2021, while for those not directly supported the supplied software will be able to respond to user input on the keyboard and mouse. But the support is not limited to gaming, in fact the haptic feedback system it can also be used when watching movies and TV series from the main streaming services.
