On the evening of this Thursday, August 24, 2023, the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock received a large quantity of fertilizer. It is precisely 28,000 tons of fertilizers intended to boost the productivity of farmers.

The receipt of this large quantity of urea-type fertilizer is part of the presidential initiative. It marks an important step in the implementation of agricultural policies aimed at supporting our farmers and strengthening the agricultural sector. The National Chamber of Agriculture has the difficult task of supervising the distribution of these fertilizers throughout the national territory.

“This massive fertilizer order stems from the vision of the Head of State, Colonel Mamadi Doumbouya to put the farmer back at the heart of our economy and our way of life. The President understood very early on that the agricultural sector represents a major source of employment for our fellow citizens but also the pillar of our food security” underlined the Head of Government, Dr. Bernard Goumou.

And as if to back up his remarks about the importance that the President of the Republic attaches to the agricultural sector, he reveals that as part of the Green Refoundation, the budget of the Ministry of Agriculture has been increased by 300 billion in 2021. to 1900 billion Gnf in 2022.

To these fellow citizens working in the agricultural sector, the Prime Minister reminds that the revenue generated by the sales of this batch of fertilizers will be used to acquire other agricultural inputs.

In addition, mechanisms have been developed to allow farmers in the most remote areas to easily access these fertilizers at the price set by the Ministry of Agriculture (300,000 Guinean francs per 50 kg bag).
