New Delhi: The Union Ministry of Health has revised the guidelines for overseas visitors in the wake of the Omicron outbreak. A seven-day quarantine is now mandatory for those arriving from other countries, in addition to those arriving from high-risk countries. The revised guidelines will come into effect from January 11, the health ministry said.

At the same time, the Center has added more names to its list of high-risk countries. The list includes all European countries, South Africa, Brazil, Botswana, China, Ghana, Mauritius, New Zealand, Zimbabwe, Tanzania, Hong Kong, Israel, Congo, Ethiopia, Kenya, Nigeria, Kazakhstan, Tunisia and Zambia.
