If Chamonix is ​​above all known for being the capital of mountaineering, it has also become the world capital of trail running thanks to an event that was still confidential 20 years ago: the Ultra-Trail du Mont-Blanc (UTMB). Every last week of August, the Roof of Europe now sees nearly 12,000 runners parading at its feet, coming from all over the world, with no less than a hundred nationalities represented.
