For a week now, builders have been working on the building of the former dormitory at Westervalli, 17. Now the interior is being dismantled: wooden parts of building structures and decoration are thrown out through window openings. Work at the facility, workers say, at the request of the customer, that is, the city, must proceed at an accelerated pace.
Recall that on the site of the former dormitory, 2 modern modular houses for visiting specialists should appear.
Movement began at the site of the kindergarten on the street. Viru, 4: the gates to its territory were opened, vehicles began to enter there. After the demolition of the “abandoned house”, according to the plans of the Narva City Government, parking will be arranged here. The inhabitants of neighboring houses are not at all happy about this, but it seems that changes in this regard are not to be expected.
The Gan staircase also turns into another construction site. Two days ago, the entrance to the stairs was blocked and the builders began to remove its dilapidated parts from the rubble masonry.
Work on the reconstruction of the facility will be tentatively completed by December 31, until that time it will be possible to get to the lower promenade and vice versa only by bypassing the stairs.
