The start of the Catalunya Grand Prix was chaotic this Sunday. Following a first pile-up at the first corner, a major collective crash caused the interruption of the race for about twenty minutes. If Johann Zarco fell without gravity, it was not the same for Francesco Bagnaia. The Italian, leader of the Moto GP championship and title holder fell, trained by Enea Bastianini. Brad Binder, present just behind the Ducati rider, couldn’t avoid him and rolled over his legs in a very violent shock.

Announced conscious by the race management, Bagnaia was evacuated to the medical center, to the ovation of the fans present in the stands.

At the origin of the fall, Bastianini also forfeited. Once the red flag was raised, the drivers were able to resume their original positions and get back into the race.
