The Swedish police have arrested this Sunday more than ten people after they exploded violent riots at a protest where a copy of the Koran was burnedthe holy book of Islam.

The demonstration was organized by Iraqi refugee Salwan Momika, who has already staged similar protests in recent weeks, unleashing a wave of outrage in the Middle East.

The act of this Sunday took place in a square of Malmo, a city in southern Sweden with a high percentage of migrant population. Some 200 people attended the call, according to the public broadcaster SVT.

Some of those present “expressed their discomfort after the organizer burned writings,” police said in a statement. “Tempers flared at times.”added the armed body, specifying that a “violent disturbance” subsequently took place.
