Nouna: PDS warns against fuel speculation
Nouna, Sept. 3, 2023(AIB)- The commune of Nouna experiences a recurrent shortage of fuel in the city’s service stations, leading to speculation around fuel, sometimes pushing up the price per liter to 1,250 FCFA and 2 250FCFA in places.
The refueling of gas stations on Friday, September 1, 2023, relieved the hard-hit populations.
The president of the special delegation of Nouna, Souleymane Tiono, after consultation with the managers, warned anyone who persists in this speculative activity.
In a press release, he also invited the managers to cap the price at the pump.
The observation made by the AIB around this cap reveals that for motorcycles of the Aloba and other types, 1,500 FCFA fuel is served per person, 3,000 FCFA for tricycles and 5,000 FCFA for vehicles.
Souleymane Tiono also invites citizens to behave responsibly.
