The State Duma has received amendments to the law “On Advertising” for consideration, providing for the creation of a unified information system for accounting for advertising on the Internet. The text of the amendments is posted in the legislative support system on the website of the lower house of parliament. The bill was introduced by the chairman of the State Duma Committee on Economic Policy, LDPR deputy Sergei Zhigarev.
Usually laws on Internet regulation in the State Duma are supervised by the Committee on Information Policy, Information Technology and Communications, which is headed by the deputy from “United Russia” Alexander Khinshtein, but in this case the amendments concern the law “On Advertising”, and they, as a rule, pass through the Committee on Economic Policy, Industry, Innovative Development and Entrepreneurship, headed by Zhigarev, explain the interlocutors of Vedomosti in the State Duma.
