The actor Victor Meyniel26, was beaten on Saturday morning, 2, in Copacabanano Rio de Janeiro. The comedian was attacked by a man who would have met Victor at the Fosfobox nightclub, in the South Zone of Rio, during the early morning. The episode took place in the building where Victor lived and was recorded by security cameras that show Victor being beaten with several punches. Alongside the actor and the aggressor, the building’s doorman watches the crime and takes no action. After the aggression, Victor, next to his mother, Regina Meyniel, filed a complaint at the 12th Police Station (Copacabana) and filed a police report about the episode. In addition, the actor underwent a criminal examination at the Legal Medical Institute (IML) and was treated in a Emergency care unit (UPA). According to Montenegro Talents, the company that manages Victor, confirmed that the attacker was arrested on Saturday afternoon and taken to the hospital. In addition to the aggression, the agency says that he is being accused of ideological falsehood for having identified himself as an aeronautics doctor. Also according to the company, the doorman was indicted for failure to provide assistance. “Victor and his family are taking legal steps to prosecute the perpetrator. […] The images must be shown for the intensity of the crime and violence and will not go unnoticed”, says the official note from the agency.
