On the occasion of the start of the new school year in Spain, at the beginning of September, a series of keys are offered below for the appropriate writing of news related to the educational field.

1. The secondary educationbut Compulsory Secondary Education

They are written with lowercase generic names of educational stages and cycles (secondary education o higher education), but with a capital letter if it is the official name because it has proper name value: Compulsory Secondary Education, Vocational Training. In the case that they coincide, as it happens with child education o Early Childhood Educationwhich can refer to both the educational cycle and its official name, one or the other will be chosen depending on what it refers to in each specific case.

5. Positions, professions and qualifications

The names of positions, professions or qualifications are written with initial lowercase: teacher, professor, doctor, agricultural engineer….

are written with initial capital letters all the significant terms of the titles both of the meetings of professionals and specialists (Conference on Research Networks in Teaching Innovation) as of the plans, projects or programs (Teacher Training Program).

11. Honoraryin lowercase and italics
