Job Description
The group leader will be responsible for leading the BF/IGV group 4 in the Västervik local police area. The group’s main focus is event-driven activities in uniform. Additionally, the group leader will work closely with other group managers to plan and lead crime prevention and safety-creating initiatives in the local police area. This position also includes the role of an external commander, which requires training and availability for special events over a larger area.
The group leader will report to the local police area manager and be part of the management group. They will be responsible for driving the authority’s change and development work and representing the Police Authority internally and externally. The group leader’s main goal is to create security and build trust in police operations.
Qualifications
To be eligible for this position, applicants should have at least 6 months of continuous experience as a supervisor, project manager, or in a similar role involving change and development work. They should also hold a Swedish police exam certification.
Experience in leading others towards set goals, participating in management forums, and undergoing management and leadership training is considered meritorious. Other desirable qualifications include experience in crime prevention police work, pre-investigation leader training, and operational management training.
