The Hutchison Ports Best terminal, the largest in the Mediterranean within a port, has eight tracks of mixed gauge, Iberian and UIC, each 750 meters long. Located in the Port of Barcelona, it has a storage capacity of 4,600 TEUs and offers a service of sixteen daily.
With this offer, Hutchison Ports Best has become the first terminal in terms of refrigerated container movements by rail in the general interest port network. The objective is to extend its cold logistics capacity to other logistics nodes, in addition to offering clients in the North of Spain and the South-West of France the advantages of this type of transport. Currently, Best has some 2,200 fixed connection points for refrigerated cargo, a figure that will rise to 4,000 with the expansion that will take place in the coming years.
