A cyclone kills 21 in the south of the country

A cyclone that hit southern Brazil killed 21 people, the governor of the state of Rio Grande do Sul announced on Tuesday, lamenting “the worst toll for a climatic event” in his region.

“Unfortunately, I have received information that 15 bodies have been found in the municipality of Muçum, which brings the death toll to 21,” Governor Eduardo Leite said at a press conference.
