DIG/ Following the instructions of the President of the Committee for the Transition and the Restoration of Institutions (CTRI), General Brice-Clotaire Oligui Nguema, the Secretary General of the Ministry of Public Works, Pierre Matthieu Obame Etoughe, brought together, on Friday September 1, 2023, managers of companies awarded contracts to carry out projects with a strong economic and social impact.

These projects are relative, we learned, the construction of sports facilities, public lighting, the rehabilitation and capacity building of schools and dispensaries, village water supply and the construction of commercial spaces.

The two parties therefore discussed at length the financial question of these sites awarded to the companies, as well as the schedules for the execution and delivery of the works.

It will be remembered that during the meeting with the private sector, the president of the CTRI, while laying down the bases of a concerted strategy to revive the economy, summoned the companies which had already received money for the execution of the public contracts to complete them.

“Roads that have been funded and not done, those responsible will go to jail.

Either he ends his journey or he goes to prison”, has already warned the chairman of the Committee for the Transition and Restoration of Institutions (CTRI), General Brice Clotaire Oligui Nguéma.

“All of us, together, have to set up a committee to go and look at the progress of the work.

And when people see this, they will understand that the climate has changed»he insisted.
