Registration for the 29th edition of the It’s All True – International Documentary Film Festival are open until the 8th of December. The festival, the main event dedicated to the genre in Latin America, will be held from April 4th to 14th in São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro.
Films can be entered in the Brazilian Feature or Medium Film Competition (from 31 min.); in the Brazilian Short Film Competition (up to 30 min.); International Competition of Feature or Medium Film (from 31 min.) and International Competition of Short Film (up to 30 min.). Entries for international competitions can only be made for documentaries produced outside Brazil or in co-production between Brazilian production companies and counterparts in another country.
As a ranking festival recognized by US Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciencesthe winners of the international competitions of Feature or Medium-length and Short-Film will be automatically qualified for direct registration in order to dispute the Oscar for best documentary feature film and short film.
