Jorge Vilda has recounted that he had “a brief meeting with” the interim president of the RFEF, Pedro Rocha, and with the vice president of Equality. “The reason they have given me is that it is due to structural changes… I have a clear conscience. I did not understand my dismissal and I did not see it as deserved. I did not expect it. In the end you always have the illusion”, he added.

On the other hand, regarding his applause for Luis Rubiales, he has pointed out that he could not be the only one who did not applaud when everyone else did, especially because of the praise he has received from him. . In addition, he has expressed that he has not agreed with his statements.

As for his substitute, he has confirmed that “I have congratulated her”. “Montse Tomé has the capacity to do it very well. I chose her for the coaching staff just like the rest of the staff. I think the greatest legacy I can leave in the national team is the style of play that is recognizable throughout the world and the methodology I know that she is prepared and she is going to do well”, he asserted.
