Surya is a leading actor in Tamil cinema who has acted in many socially acclaimed films. His last film, Jaybeam, was released to critical acclaim.
The film received much acclaim and controversy. Many political parties raised the banner against the film crew, claiming that the film was insulting to a particular caste. Apart from this, Surya was publicly threatened that the film would not be released in theaters.
A case has also been filed against the caste association demanding that some scenes in the film be changed and actor Surya pay Rs 5 crore in damages. Thus certain scenes in the film were removed.

The film, which is set to release in the first week of February, stars Priyanka Arul Mohan, Sathyaraj and Jayaprakash among others. The film is directed by director Bandiraj. The film is produced by Sun Pictures.
Thus it can not be done for this film as it did for Surya’s previous film. Because Sun Pictures is a huge network and Udayani Stalin of the ruling party is backing it, no one will come forward to oppose the film.
