Attempted murder investigation after man found injured in industrial area
A man has been hospitalized with serious injuries following an incident in an industrial area in Brandbergen, according to the police. The incident is being investigated as attempted murder.
The injured man was discovered in a stairwell, and the police believe that he was subjected to severe violence by one or more individuals. The exact nature of the violence is still unknown.
“We have requested help from the bomb shelter,” stated Daniel Wikdahl, press spokesperson for the police.
The police have not released any information regarding the man’s age. During the investigation, a suspicious object was found in the area, leading to the establishment of large cordons and the police remaining at the scene throughout Wednesday evening.
The incident is classified as a suspected violation of the Act on Flammable and Explosive Goods, as well as preparation for public destruction.
“We still have an ongoing operation at the site. I can’t say more than that,” said Wikdahl.
The alarm was raised to the police just before 3:30 PM on Wednesday, and as of 10:40 PM, no arrests had been made.
