Burkina: The former CEO of CEGEGI comes to justice after eleven months of research
Ouagadougou, Sept. 6, 2023(AIB)-The former Director General of the Housing Management Center (CEGECI), Boureima Thiombiano, on whom “a criminal search notice” had been held since October 12, 2022, voluntarily presented himself to the magistrate seized of the procedure, announced Wednesday, the ASCE-LC in a press release.

“On October 12, 2022, the Superior Authority for State Control and the Fight against Corruption (ASCE-LC) published a criminal search notice concerning the named THIOMBIANO Boureima, Former Director General of the Center for Management of Cities (CEGECI) , counts of Corruption, Illicit Enrichment, Overbilling, Tax fraud, Illegal taking of interest, Offense of appearance, Favouritism, Money laundering, Obstruction of justice etc.
Subsequently, an arrest warrant was issued against the respondent on November 22, 2022, by the magistrate hearing the proceedings.
Hereby, ASCE-LC would like to once again inform the public that Mr. THIOMBIANO Boureima voluntarily presented himself to the office of the magistrate seized of the procedure in July 2023.
ASCE-LC renews its commitment to the fight against corruption and its thanks to all the citizens mobilized in this quest, pledge of the rule of law.
