Agents will control pedestrian crossings throughout the event, to ensure the safety of devices
To ensure road safety for civil and military authorities, as well as the population attending the Civic Parade on September 7th, which will take place on the N1 road of Esplanada dos Ministérios, the Federal District Traffic Department (Detran-DF), in together with the Military Police of the Federal District (PMDF), will promote interventions in vehicle traffic, starting this Wednesday (6), until the public is completely dispersed.
To this end, four Traffic Control points (PCTrans) will be set up and traffic agents will work to ensure the free movement of vehicles driving authorities and those tasked with supporting the event, with a focus on evacuation, prevention and control.
During the entire parade, there will be vehicle traffic control on roads S2, S3, and surrounding areas, from 9pm this Wednesday (6), until the roads are completely vacated. Agents will control pedestrian crossings throughout the event, to ensure the safety of devices. In the Curia tunnel, traffic towards S1 will be interrupted.
Parking
In addition, agents will act to prevent parking in prohibited locations and in locations that impair the flow of safety roads near the event. Parking will not be permitted along the S2 road and Buraco do Tatuí (connection between L2 South and L2 North). Parking will be permitted in the Ministries’ annexes, along routes S2, S3 and N2. There will be tow trucks and forklifts nearby to be used if necessary.
Integration
Teams from the Traffic Operational Motorcyclist Unit (Umop) will carry out patrols and escorts. The Military Police and the DF Highway Department (DER-DF) will also act in traffic control in an integrated manner with Detran-DF.
