It was just right. Within a few days, a lucky winner could have missed out on their loot without knowing it. The FDJ launched a wanted notice on Tuesday in order to find a winner who did not come forward. The latter played My Million during the “draw on Friday June 30 and won one million euros in a draw,” explains the company in a press release.

The player had until Tuesday, September 12 at 11:59 p.m. to come forward, under penalty of Française des Jeux recovering his winnings and putting it back into play. In order to find the future and mysterious millionaire, the FDJ had given his winning code, the “DF 321 7979”. The player finally came forward on Thursday. According to the FDJ, he had played in “a point of sale in eastern Paris”.

A phone call and a receipt

In order to prove that he is indeed the lucky winner, the latter had to show his receipt, the only irrefutable proof of a lottery win. He had to first contact the Française des Jeux directly by telephone on 09 69 36 60 60 in order to make himself known, the customer service then putting him “in contact with the Support and Winners Experience teams”, explains the press release.

“All combinations played in France are automatically assigned a My Million code (two letters and seven numbers). The My Million game provides for the drawing of a winning code from among all the codes allocated in France,” specifies the gambling institution.
