Since his return via the Southern Alps in 1992, Canis lupus has taken up residence in the main French mountain ranges, before being regularly seen elsewhere in the territory. In Brittany, the first confirmed sighting dates back to May 2022, when a camera placed by a naturalist captured the image of an adult male wolf advancing quietly in a wooded area in the commune of Berrien, in the heart of the Monts d’Arrée.
