« Terrorism is only a manifestation of neocolonialism,” President Traoré
Ouagadougou, September 6, 2023 (AIB) – President Ibrahim Traoré affirmed that terrorism is a new form of violent and barbaric colonization which is based on the disintegration of African armies and poor governance, encouraged by imperialists.
The Burkinabè head of state spoke in an interview recorded on August 31, 2023 and broadcast Wednesday evening by Burkina national television.
He returned to the structural adjustment programs which for years led to a lack of maintenance of military equipment, forcing the great mute to reconstitute itself into only three regions.
Captain Ibrahim Traoré also denounced these African heads of state who divert significant portions of large loans, to place them in Western banks, contributing to the development of these Nations to the detriment of their own.
“Bad governance, the destruction of our armies, the terrorism that is creeping in… They say that you don’t have armies, we have to come and help you. We are coming to establish ourselves. But the objective is quite different. It’s a well-prepared plan,” he explained.
