“Well I can say that I did a lot of preparation for the Tour and things have not worked out for me and the team, which has been a bit sad. I had not planned to do La Vuelta, but after having finished the Tour and San Sebastián, my legs were in good shape and I asked the team to let me do La Vuelta a España,” said the former world champion and continued: “I wanted to try. a stage victory and look. At the end of so much fighting, a victory is not easy. With a lot of dedication, a lot of effort, a lot of work and this is very satisfying for me,” he noted.

Regarding the stage and the fall of Kämna, he commented: “Well, these are moments that in the end happen in the race. I had already passed the first time there, and going down you could see the curve. The truth is that I have seen that it was going down very fast. I already knew that if I went down at the same speed we were going to fall. Well in the end we got around it and we went there with Buitrago. In the end Kämna was able to compete in the stage and the victory was for me. For which I am very happy”, he concluded.
