The Theaterhaus Jena has used a choreographer’s dog poop attack on a critic as the starting point for a new piece. “The Dog Poop Attack” is a performance about darkness, beauty and forgiveness, based on a true story, the theater announced on Monday.

It’s about a play within a play: it discusses how a collective uses the aforementioned dog poop attack as the basis for a production. During rehearsals, however, the artists become afraid of getting themselves into trouble with the project and get into arguments with each other.

It is a piece developed by the ensemble together with Walter Bart, who also directs. He belongs to the Dutch collective Wunderbaum. The piece is a co-production with Wunderbaum. The premiere is scheduled for October 27th.
