“Our goal is not only to train personnel, but also to provide the entire cycle of scientific research and support for the development of new directions. We clearly understand that microelectronics is a sought-after field. Its products are innovative, which are needed not only by Belarus, but also have great export potential. It is practice orientation that is the key task of creating a branch of the department. We moved towards this systematically. First, cooperation agreements were concluded with Tsvetotron OJSC,” said Sergei Kasperovich.

Some classes will take place directly at the enterprise. There are classrooms equipped with computers and laboratory equipment. Production sites will also be used for training. On the basis of Tsvetotron, conditions have been created for the training of engineers (bachelors) and masters in the specialties “industrial electronics” and “electronic systems and technologies”.

The rector of BrSTU is convinced that this approach will facilitate the adaptation of a young specialist to the enterprise. When he comes to work, he will not need time to warm up; he will immediately be able to join the process and solve production problems. “I hope the interaction will be multifaceted. Currently, three Tsvetotron specialists are studying for a master’s degree at our university, and after graduation, within the framework of the existing concept, they will engage in more serious scientific research. In general, the opening of a branch of the department will significantly improve the quality of personnel training for the microelectronics industry,” said Sergei Kasperovich.

Brest State Technical University has about 20 branches of departments at various enterprises. In particular, they operate in machine-building industries, in the Brestoblgaz Unitary Enterprise, and in the Brest Hero-Fortress memorial complex. “The process is not in the direction of increasing quantity, but in the direction of increasing quality. Branches of departments must produce results. Specific applied skills must be developed, and enterprise management must support the involvement of existing engineers in personnel training. Where we see support, we build this work with such organizations. It is interesting that scientific projects are generated, so that the enterprise, with our help, conducts research and introduces new technologies,” emphasized the rector of BrSTU.
