A former municipal representative from Toulouse, Frédéric Brasilès, will be tried by the Haute-Garonne departmental criminal court for several rapes and for corruption of minors, we learned on Tuesday from a source close to the case. The trial should take place in 2024 according to The Midday Dispatch.
Elected in 2014 on the list of the current mayor of Toulouse Jean-Luc Moudenc, Frédéric Brasilès resigned in October 2019 from his position as delegate for festivals and demonstrations after two initial accusations of rape. He was indicted a few months later.
His ex-wife also suspected
Frédéric Brasilès is now referred to court for accusations of rape against four women between 2007 and 2012, one of whom was his employee.
He is accused of having organized “meetings involving exhibitions or sexual relations” in which the latter allegedly attended or participated when she was a minor. The acts with which he is accused were allegedly committed within the framework of his activity as a professional photographer, indicates La Dépêche du midi. The regional daily relates that during his hearings, the accused allegedly claimed that it was libertine sexual relations between consenting people.
The former elected official, now 48 years old, must finally be tried for sexual harassment against a town hall employee, for acts allegedly committed in 2019.
His ex-wife will also be tried for rape.
