The coastal city of Viña del MarChile, was affected by a sinkhole of large dimensions produced by heavy rains that fell during the last weekend. More of 200 people were evacuated in four luxury towers, given the risk of the buildings collapsing.
Last Sunday, the rainfall record for the last ten years was reached in Viña. As a result of the large amount of water, a huge crack was generated in the dune where the residential buildings are located.
