Unimaginable scene in a school. A 9-year-old child was pinned to the ground and restrained by a police officer on September 5 in a primary school in Nalinnes (Belgium), reports Free lunch. He apparently became “uncontrollable” after suffering racist insults from another child, according to the daily.
The boy’s mother was called on the day of the incident by the school administration, who told her that she had to come and pick up her son. In the meantime, the police were called. Upon arriving at the establishment, the mother saw her child on the ground, immobilized and held by a police officer who had his knee on his back. “My son was pinned to the ground like George Floyd,” remembers the one who had the presence of mind to film the scene.

The boy targeted by a report
In the video, the police officer can be heard explaining that the child was on the ground because he had “given the finger to the police”. The director then explained to the mother that her son had become very angry after being called a “dirty black” and a “chocolate gratin”.
He allegedly broke off a block and threw it at teachers, remaining “out of control” despite staff attempts to calm him down. “In one week, this is the third time he has been called a dirty nigger,” the mother told the Belgian media RTBF.
On September 7, the Charleroi public prosecutor’s office confirmed that a report for indiscipline had been opened against the little boy pinned to the ground. “This is quite problematic behavior and it probably risks being referred to youth welfare services,” added the prosecution.
