Brazilian Danilo Cavalcante, 34, was captured this Wednesday (13) by police in Pennsylvania, in the United States. Sentenced to life in prison for the murder of his ex-girlfriend, he had escaped from prison on August 31st.
The hunt lasted 14 days, and during that period Cavalcante managed to escape from the authorities several times. He also stole a van, contacted two people for help and stole a gun.

Danilo Cavalcante was captured at around 9am (Brasília time) this Wednesday, bringing relief to residents of the Chester region, where hundreds of police officers had been searching for the fugitive.
According to CNN, he was found sleeping on a rifle he had stolen during his escape. A police dog bit him when he tried to escape the agents, and the Brazilian was captured.
On TV, channels show images of Cavalcante in custody. Handcuffed, the Brazilian wears pants and a dark sweatshirt, black shoes and his hair is wet. It is possible to see dozens of agents, along with sniffer dogs, taking a photo with the criminal in the center.
In addition to the state police, the border patrol and the FBI participated in the searches. More than 500 agents were involved in the operation, as well as helicopters, drones and sniffer dogs.
