The population of Azerbaijan is named.

As Day.Az was informed on Wednesday by the State Statistics Committee of Azerbaijan, the population as of August 1, 2023 was 10,157,406 people according to the results of the latest population census.

The share of the urban population was 54.6 percent, the rural population – 45.4 percent. The share of men is 49.8 percent, women – 50.2 percent.

In January-July of this year, the district (city) registration departments of the country’s Ministry of Justice registered 64,627 newborns, and compared to the corresponding period last year, this figure decreased per 1,000 people from 12.2 to 11.0.
