The 15th Hebrew Language Conference in Rishon Lezion kicks off and will take place between the dates: February 8-10, 2022, Heichal Hatarbut, Rishon Lezion

Rishon Lezion, the city that has engraved on its banner the education and the Hebrew language, continues the tradition and will hold for the 15th year the only language conference of its kind in the country that deals with the Hebrew language in all its various aspects!

Rishon Lezion defines the language conference as one of the cornerstones and beautiful and important traditions in the city.

Every year the conference is renewed and appeals to additional and new audiences, among other things it receives fruitful cooperation from the variety of educational staff and students of the city who are an integral part of the conference. This year the conference will include a variety of sessions and cultural events that will be marked by “its Hebrew is its” attitude of the language to gender.

The Hebrew language, unlike other languages, “betrays” gender (you, you, they, they). It obliges speakers to address a person’s gender.

Over the years, dozens of academics, lecturers, intellectuals, scholars, writers, poets, composers, actors and singers, will take part in unique sessions and original productions for the language conference, which will express the language’s attitude to gender and directly the social attitude. Among them is gender in language from different angles: proud language, slang language, biblical language, “own language” evening with Rita and Tzruya Lahav and more.
