The Episcopal Conference of Colombia (CEC) presented the document this Thursday Lights on the path of peacewith 17 guidelines “for the search and construction of peace, from the horizon of mercy.”
At the CEC headquarters, in Bogotá, the president of the Episcopate, Mons. Luis José Rueda Aparicio, explained that the document “is the result of work in the regions,” where each bishop listened to the concerns of the communities, especially those who are affected by violence.
In that sense, the Archbishop of Bogotá also indicated that the text is divided into three parts. In the first, he reflects that the path to peace is not free of obstacles. However, as the second part points out, this path is at the same time paved with the hope that lives in citizens and authorities.
