More fear than harm for Lance Stroll. During the first part of qualifying for the Singapore GP this Saturday, the Canadian lost control of his car in the last corner. His car hit the wall before bouncing and returning to the track, with a wheel torn off and the front heavily damaged.

The Aston Martin driver then got out of his car as best he could, before indicating on his radio that everything was fine. The red flag was logically brought out following this crash to evacuate the car and clean the track.

After his crash, Lance Stroll went to the medical center to undergo tests. The driver, who did not have time to complete his last lap, was eliminated in Q1. “I am happy that Lance (Stroll) is doing well after such a crash,” explained Oscar Piastri (Mc Laren) on Canal+. Verstappen eliminated in Q2

And this Singapore GP had its share of surprises. Max Verstappen was eliminated in the second phase of qualifying, finishing in 11th place. “I’m shocked” the double Dutch world champion cursed after crossing the finish line. It’s going to be difficult for the Red Bull driver to win an eleventh race in a row on Sunday…
