Pardon to Prisoners: Oman orders release of 229 prisoners, including expatriates

Muscat: Oman ruler Sultan Haitam bin Tariq al-Sayed has ordered the release of a pardon for prisoners convicted of various crimes in Oman. The Omani government has released 229 prisoners, including 70 foreigners. The announcement was made on the second anniversary of the accession of Sultan Haitham bin Tariq to the throne.
