Gosstandart has banned the import and sale of the board game Monopoly from a Chinese manufacturer in Belarus. This is reported on the department’s website.
The board game of the Chinese manufacturer Guangdong Ausini Toys Industry was considered hazardous to health, as it does not meet the requirements of the Customs Union on the safety of toys for children.
“Toys must be designed and manufactured in such a way that, when used for their intended purpose, they do not pose a danger to the life and health of children. In printed board games, the text must be printed in a contrasting color in relation to the background, the height of the letters must be at least 2.3 mm for children under the age of 10 years and at least 1.75 mm for children over the age of 10 years, drawings (reliefs) of the games must be clear; in fact, the minimum height of the letters was 1.65 mm,” the department said in a statement.
