These are two deals in Asia and one in Mexico to continue the deployment of the fourth generation in remote areas
Barat Gilat Satellite Networks (NASDAQ and the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange: GILT), which specializes in satellite communications networks, solutions and services, reported three major transactions last week.
The first deal is a follow-on order for additional VSATs terminal from Tier-1 mobile communications operator, Japan.
Through Gilat’s satellite communications transmission system, the SkyEdge II-c platform, the cellular communications operator will expand its cellular coverage and thus allow further expansion of its 4G / LTE network to rural areas that do not have access to fiber optics.
In the second transaction, the company announced that one of the largest cellular operators in the world will deploy Gilat’s satellite transmission technology in the 4th generation network. And in the third transaction, transmission systems were provided to a large cellular communications operator in Mexico.
