Real Housewives of Orange County star, Shannon Beador, was arrested for DUI and a hit-and-run after she struck a house with her car in Newport Beach, LA on Saturday night. TMZ reports that the reality personality, 59, drove her car onto a residential property and clipped the house. Beador then allegedly turned back onto the road and continued driving before parking her car in the middle of the street and getting out with her dog. When police arrived at the scene after receiving a 911 call, Beador reportedly acted like she was “taking a walk” and appeared to be intoxicated. She was taken into custody.
A representative for the Newport Beach Police Department confirmed that Beador was booked for hit-and-run and DUI alcohol. She was later cited and released without bond. Police have also seized her car as part of their investigation into the damage done to the home.
This incident adds to a tough year for Beador, who recently went through a breakup with her beau John Janssen in November 2022. The couple had been dating for nearly four years. Beador did not publicly announce their split until January. She has been a popular star on RHOC since joining the cast in its ninth season in 2014. Beador has three daughters with her ex-husband David Beador.
In a recent appearance on Celebrity Family Feud, Beador made headlines when she jokingly answered “penis” in response to a question about the sexiest man alive. The episode was filmed in April, five months after her split from Janssen.
Representatives for Bravo, the network behind Real Housewives of Orange County, have not yet commented on Beador’s arrest.
