A fractured tibia and a life-threatening prognosis. This is the outcome of the terrible accident that occurred this Monday morning, in Asnières, avenue de la Redoute.
Shortly before 8 a.m., a motorist lost control of his vehicle, which ended in a bus shelter. The driver was traveling towards Colombes when, for reasons which remain to be determined, he lost control of his Renault Clio. Before pulverizing the bus shelter, the car, in its mad rush, mowed down a blind woman accompanied by her assistance dog.
The driver taken into custody
The 46-year-old victim was quickly taken care of by the emergency services who transported him to Beaujon hospital in Clichy. Feeling unwell, a witness to this spectacular accident was also taken care of by the firefighters. Luckily, the victim’s guide dog was not injured.
During the intervention of emergency services and technical teams responsible for clearing debris from the bus shelter, a diversion of RATP lines 304 and 318 was put in place, for almost two hours, until 9:45 a.m. Slightly injured, like his passenger, the driver of the Renault Clio was taken into police custody. The investigation was entrusted to the accident brigade of the Asnières police station.
