Deprived of consultations for two weeks. Dr. Michaël Rochoy, who works in Outreau (Pas-de-Calais), was banned from practicing for two weeks by the disciplinary chamber of the council of the Hauts-de-France Order of Physicians for “breaches of ethical obligations,” reveals the specialized site Ego. Doctor Rochoy confirms to Le Parisien that he was informed of his suspension this morning by mail, with acknowledgment of receipt.

This general practitioner was accused of having consulted Emmanuel Macron’s medical file twice, in the summer of 2021. The latter defended himself by explaining that he had wanted to alert people to flaws in the protection of medical data, and that he had in no case disseminated the information found.

During his hearing on June 16, Dr. Rochoy pleaded good faith. He said that in the summer of 2021, in the middle of the Covid-19 vaccination campaign, he had received a patient without a vital card. He then discovered that he could check his vaccination status simply by having his name and date of birth. The doctor subsequently tried to look for other names, including that of the president.

He will not appeal

He noticed an inconsistency between the first injection date that had been communicated and the date that was on the platform. In September 2021, when the affair was publicized, he assured Le Parisien that he had acted “out of curiosity, to see if it was possible”, and explained that he had warned the Élysée of the situation at the time.

“I am at peace with what I did, which consisted of looking at the president’s QR code when we all knew his vaccination status… I obviously accept the sanction without appealing: I don’t want to drag this out for several months or years, he declared this Monday evening to Le Parisien. Concretely, I am experiencing it very well: I have not been told of a serious illness, but just two weeks of compulsory leave, there are worse things.” Before ironically speaking about his sulphurous colleague from Marseille.

“If we compare the reprimand of Didier Raoult, I should perhaps have advocated ineffective and unnecessarily dangerous treatments in the press, rather than verifying the feasibility of accessing the pass of the President of the Republic, who had given his status six weeks earlier…” he blurted.

At that time, the Head of State’s QR Code leaked on social networks. The Élysée then blamed “health professionals who, through malice or negligence, circulated this data”. Health Insurance for its part had identified around fifteen caregivers who consulted Emmanuel Macron’s vaccination sheet, including Dr Rochoy.
