Inter Milan, finalists in the 2023 Champions League, will be without their Turkish midfielder for their match at Real Sociedad on Wednesday.
Calhanoglu “suffers from muscle fatigue in the hamstring of the left thigh”, Inter said in a press release on Tuesday. The 29-year-old Turkish international, at Inter since 2021, scored a goal, from a penalty, during his team’s demonstration in the Milan derby against AC Milan (5-1), Saturday.
Inter are leaders of the Italian Championship with twelve points in four matches and two points ahead of their first pursuer, Juventus. Real Sociedad is 11th in the Spanish Championship with six points after five days.
